Significant Figure Calculator (SigFigC)
BETA RELEASE This is a public beta release, so expect it to be buggy. Please report
answers you think are incorrect by sending an email to proton2000 at earthlink dot net.
Please include both numbers, and the operation you used.
Instructions: 1. Type each input number in to the boxes
2. If the numbers use scientific notation, put the the exponents in the boxes after the "X 10 ^".
3. If a number has infinite significant figures, check the box below it. Examples of such numbers include
chemical formula numbers (like the "2" in H20) and SI convertion factors, like 1000mg = 1g.
4. If you want the answer in scientific notation, check "Use scientific notation". In some cases the
program will be forced to used scientific notation due to the nature of the problem.
5. Click "Enter" and wait for the answer. You will get two answers: a "Raw" answer, and a real one.
